It's that time of year again, time for our version of a Christmas wish list. Some are new products and some are products we've used that have become staff favorites. So whether you are looking for gift ideas for a deserving triathlete, or you are one, these products are all things we would like to see under our tree.
Having trouble finding the perfect goggle to match your tri kit? TYR Custom goggles may be just the solution you're looking for. You can go online and design your perfect color combination to take coordination to a whole new level. You can even add laser etching for an extra bit of personalization, plus you'll know if the tool in the next lane steals your goggles.
In the short existence of this bike, it's already been ridden to some very impressive victories. The bike has an integrated front end, Di2 compatibility, and we were impressed with the smooth, comfortable ride and predictable handling. The Fuelselage Integrated Hydration System makes all others look like an afterthought and makes for a very clean race day setup. You can get a close up of our demo bike here.
Newton Gravity (Limited Edition)
For all of you Newton Fans out there, the Limited Edition Gravity (which we have been wearing way before it was released... just sayin') would be a nice addition to your collection. The Gravity is a lightweight (9.1 oz) versatile shoe that can be used for longer daily training or those faster tempo workouts. Get the black/green limited edition color while it lasts!
SRAM Red Quarq
What do you get when you combine 2 rock solid companies...a bomb proof product. The 2013 SRAM Red Quarq has a new geometry that allows it to work with oversized frames and the new hollow carbon crank arms even lighten it up a bit. The new stress sensors allow for power measurement that is independent of chainring selection, which is huge for those of us that change equipment based on the racecourse. So no matter what training or racing throws your way, you'll have accurate, consistent power measurement at every turn. See more of the new SRAM Red lineup here.
Dollar Shave Club
As triathletes we do our fair share of shaving, both North and South of the border. So whether you're shaving your face, legs, or whatever else you may be manscaping, dollar shave club has a blade with your name on it. Sign up, and for a few bucks a month, you'll get a fresh pack of blades delivered to your door.
Lightweight, racefit cycling apparel seems to be all the rage lately. While now (in most places) is not the time for this type of apparel, it still would be nice to unwrap and have ready in your closet when the weather warms up. The 2013 Edge jersey and bibs from Hincapie Sports were developed with direct feedback from the BMC Racing team. The edge series is super lightweight and features material intended to decrease drag and increase moisture wicking. A super soft racefit and a generous chamois will help to keep your arse comfortably in the saddle for many a mile.
